Key West celebrates the Food and Wine Festival that features a wide selection of various wines and the exotic cuisine from the best chefs in Key West. Howard shares a “Tropical Tip” about growing bananas in the tropics. The Florida Keys are the only tropical city in the continental United States!
Next, Howard’s friend Durf shows him how to create Solar Pyrography Art. In “What’s on the Grill” with Chef Alice Weingarten, Howard learns how to make a grilled and glazed pineapple to serve with ice cream.
Flare Mixologist Tim Schwarz shows us all how to make a tropical Pina Colada while Jungle Greg’s Cockatoo samples fruit juice at the end of the bar.
Closing the episode Howard talks about his Kentucky childhood fantasy and the origins of his song “Where Bananas Grow”, which he and the Mile Marker 24 Band perform “Where Bananas Grow”. The beautiful children seen singing the chorus are Howard’s two grandchildren and Steel Drum player Toko Irie’s 5 children.

I would love to be able to watch the show on my big screen instead of my computer. Cant wait to come down there in Dec thanks to Key West Time I will be camping at Bahia Honda state park And with any luck i will get to see Howard and mm24 play while down there!

I am enjoying seeing and learning about things that are going on in Key West. I am planning on making more trips now, so that I can visit some of these other places.
